Description ~ Stjerne Slippers

This class teaches you everything you need to know about colorwork in a nutshell. This is an intensive colorwork class. The goal here is to finish the slippers so that you can wear them for the rest of the cruise. Warning: You might end up buying more yarn in Iceland to knit another pair. Making these slippers is addicting; they are cozy to wear and make great gifts.

Homework ~ Stjerne Slippers

• Gauge and Swatch - Swatch in colorwork.


• Women's Slipper 24 stitches/24 rows = 4 inches or 10 cm


• Men's Slipper 19 stitches /19 rows = 4 inches or 10 cm


• If you need a larger size, determine gauge, then move up a needle size for a roomier slipper. I use a 3 mm for a women's 5-7 and a 4 mm for a women's 8-10. Keep that in mind. If you need a smaller size, go down a needle size (from gauge) or shrink them a bit by extra felting in hot water.


• Sizes - Women's medium size 6-8 - Unfelted slipper: 9 ½" (23.75 cm) x 5½" (13 cm) / Felted slipper: 9¼" (23 cm x 4½" (11.5 cm). Men's medium size 8-11 - Unfelted slipper: 12¾" (33 cm) x 6½" (16 cm) / Felted slipper: 10" (26 cm) x 5½" (14cm)
